Position Overview
The Controller will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. This role is crucial for managing the company's accounting functions and supporting executive management with financial insights and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor financial performance by establishing and tracking key performance indicators.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a focus on automotive industry.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with financial software, preferably Tekion, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to foster team collaboration.
